Executive Session

An Executive Session is a segment of a meeting that is closed to the general audience and is limited to key participants, usually top management or board members. This session is used to discuss sensitive or confidential matters such as legal issues, mergers and acquisitions, high-level personnel decisions, and strategic planning. The confidentiality of these sessions ensures that sensitive information is protected and that frank, open discussions can take place without the risk of external scrutiny or leaks. Minutes of executive sessions are often kept private or are recorded in a very limited format to maintain confidentiality.
