Besides optimizing the video for a third-party editor or adding timestamps to the recording, you\u2019re also interested in the <\/span><b>Record a separate audio file for each participant who speaks <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">setting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This feature gives you two separate audio files at the end of a call. This makes it easier for you to edit the audio of an interview or meeting. More benefits? To get a realistic understanding of how you sound, record a test call using Zoom. I used to make the mistake of \u201ctrial recording\u201d through a different app that didn\u2019t offer the exact same setting and quality as Zoom. So if you\u2019re recording alongside a co-host or guest, Zoom could attribute what they\u2019re saying to you and assume you\u2019re speaking softer than usual.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Turning this off also lets you fix a problem I commonly experience with other tools that don\u2019t allow you to disable the automatic adjustments: your voice fading in and out, particularly at the start and end of a sentence.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use a noise-cancelling app like Krisp to block background sounds<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laptop fans, random furniture items creaking, dogs barking in the neighborhood\u2026 All of these are sounds that compromise your Zoom audio quality. You simply don\u2019t want to risk having choppy audio.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zoom\u2019s noise-cancellation feature isn\u2019t perfect. Depending on the setting you opt for, the tool could remove some louder or softer words, leaving the final file with missing words or full sentences.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can find both of these options under your <\/span><b>Music and Professional Audio Settings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You don\u2019t have to give up on noise cancellation though. Head over to your <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/us04web.zoom.us\/profile\/setting?mid=&amp;from=client\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">general account Settings<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><b>In Meeting (Advanced)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> options.
