Once you complete four 25-minute sessions, you\u2019re rewarded a longer 15-30 minute break.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Pomodoro technique is a great way to balance working and rewarding yourself. But it\u2019s not a magical pill; you still have to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">do the work<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And if you don\u2019t have problems focusing, then the Pomodoro technique may not work for you since it\u2019ll break your workflow. If you can focus for long periods of time, consider trying the deep work method.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Try deep work sessions<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unlike shallow work, which consists of checking emails, browsing the web, or texting, deep work is about creating value and enhancing your skills.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can think of an author writing his novel, a computer programmer creating a new app, or a graphic designer designing a new webpage to get an idea of deep work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And deep work can be broken down into 4 different approaches depending on your lifestyle:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hardcore monk-mode (think: locked in your room with your computer)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chunking your work sessions into two 4-6 hour sessions a day, with long breaks between.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The rhythmic approach; working deeply for a couple of hours here and there.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Working as a journalist, or whenever you have free time.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just make sure you can handle the feeling of being alone if you go all-out monk mode\u2026\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5583 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/krisp.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/guest-post-image-2.jpg\" alt=\"spanch bob meme\" width=\"1068\" height=\"808\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some people may find it beneficial to combine the Pomodoro technique with deep work sessions as well. That leads me to the next section&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strategy #3: Buy good equipment for a healthier body<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The third strategy is something often overlooked by remote workers\u2014 <\/span><b>but it can be the most important.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because the last thing you want when working is to end up with a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">messed-up back<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> because you\u2019re slouched over all day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everything from your <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">posture, appearance, and mood<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can be affected by bad spinal posture. It is also estimated that <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">50% of people<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the industrialized world suffer from back pain.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s why it\u2019s important to invest in the right tools.
