Your team; no matter the vertical will find use in these intimate features, allowing for fully featured conferences suited towards the needs of multiple verticals.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How To Use Annotation Tools<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once a meeting has been scheduled or is in progress the host can give participants access to annotation tools. These features unlock several options which could come into use during a variety of conferences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2202\" src=\"https:\/\/krisp.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/annotations-1.png\" alt=\"webex annotations\" width=\"1071\" height=\"694\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To show or hide annotation tools, click the <em><strong>Show-Hide<\/strong><\/em> option which has a pen next to it. If you are interested in enabling or disabling annotation privileges, click <em><strong>Allow to Annotate<\/strong><\/em> with the pencil and right arrow next to it. After clicking, select a participant\u2019s name. You also can click an annotation to <em><strong>turn on\/off<\/strong><\/em> the feature.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following annotation features are available in Webex for Mac:<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the <em><strong>forward arrow<\/strong><\/em> icon to use your pointer to draw attention to specific sections on the screen. Participants are assigned a color upon joining a session. Click the icon and then select <em><strong>Name Pointer<\/strong><\/em> or <em><strong>Laser Pointer<\/strong><\/em> to use.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use the text tool <em><strong>(Aa)<\/strong><\/em> to add text. After typing, click to display the text to other participants. You can change the color by selecting your color of choice from the color palette.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can use the line tool in order to draw straight lines on the screen. You can also change the color by selecting one from the color palette. Click the line icon and drag your mouse to formulate the line.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can use the <em><strong>shape tool<\/strong><\/em> (square) in order to draw squares, rectangles, ovals, or circles on the screen. It can also be used to add check or x marks. Change the color by selecting from the color palette. Click the icon then select a shape or mark type to use.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How To Share Content<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Users can access options for sharing content during meetings from the &#8216;Share&#8217; menu. The following options are available to you after clicking on the aforementioned menu.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select <em><strong>My Desktop<\/strong><\/em> to share your computer&#8217;s desktop.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select <em><strong>File<\/strong> <\/em>to share a file on your computer in the Content Viewer (this includes audio and video content).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select <em><strong>Application<\/strong> <\/em>to share an application on your computer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select <em><strong>Whiteboard<\/strong> <\/em>to share whiteboard and annotation tools.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select <em><strong>Web Content<\/strong><\/em> in order to share a website which allows conference participants to navigate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select <em><strong>Web Browser<\/strong><\/em> to share a website that attendees can view.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select <em><strong>Multimedia<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0if you would like to share audio or video files which are hosted on a specific URL (web address).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select <em><strong>My Meeting Window<\/strong><\/em> if you would like to show your entire meeting window.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How To Use The Recorder<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Network-Based Recorder available on Webex for Mac allows users to capture screen activity along with audio on a Webex Meeting Center recording server.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2182\" src=\"https:\/\/krisp.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/recorder.png\" alt=\"webex recorder\" width=\"396\" height=\"51\" srcset=\"https:\/\/krisp.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/recorder.png 396w, https:\/\/krisp.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/recorder-300x39.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 396px) 100vw, 396px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After making the selection the server processes the data recorded, then sends the recording file to your personal recording folder on your Webex service site. Recorded files are saved in Advanced Recording Format (.arf), a proprietary format exclusive to Webex.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following steps allow you to access the recorder and save your meeting for future review:<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A meeting must be underway in order for the recorder to be initiated.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the <em><strong>Quick Start<\/strong><\/em> page is displayed, click <em><strong>Record<\/strong><\/em> or click the <em><strong>Meeting<\/strong><\/em> button to unveil a dropdown menu. Click <em><strong>Start Recording<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0within the menu.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <em><strong>Recorder Panel<\/strong><\/em> may also be opened by clicking on the Recorder icon (REC) on the icon tray directly below the Participants Panel.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2197\" src=\"https:\/\/krisp.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/webex-recorder-setup.png\" alt=\"webex recorder setup\" width=\"485\" height=\"97\" srcset=\"https:\/\/krisp.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/webex-recorder-setup.png 485w, https:\/\/krisp.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/webex-recorder-setup-300x60.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 485px) 100vw, 485px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once beginning to record click the <em><strong>Pause<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0button in order to briefly cease recording. Re-clicking the pause button will cause the recording to resume.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the &#8216;Stop&#8217; button to immediately end the recording. You will be prompted to confirm you wish to cease recording, due to a new recording being created each time a recording is stopped and restarted. The pause option allows for one continuous recording file.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to access your recording after the meeting has ended, navigate to <em><strong>My Webex<\/strong><\/em> then <em><strong>My Files<\/strong><\/em> and finally <em><strong>My Recordings<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0to access the files after the meeting has come to an end.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How To Use Video<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conference participants can utilize Webex for Mac in order to share their video during the screen if they have a readily available webcam.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2183\" src=\"https:\/\/krisp.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/webex-camera-screen.png\" alt=\"webex participants panel screen\" width=\"658\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/krisp.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/webex-camera-screen.png 658w, https:\/\/krisp.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/webex-camera-screen-289x300.png 289w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 658px) 100vw, 658px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To begin streaming:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the camera icon in the Participants Panel. The icon should then turn green and cause your video feed to appear at the top of the Participants Panel.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Clicking the icon a second time will stop your stream.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can control video settings and switch between multiple cameras on your computer by clicking the <em><strong>Set Video Options<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0icon (gear) beneath the Participants panel.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How To End Or Leave A Meeting<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2200\" src=\"https:\/\/krisp.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Screen-Shot-2019-05-10-at-18.10.20.png\" alt=\"leave webex meeting\" width=\"1440\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While only a host can end a meeting, the process for leaving is identical for attendees to leave the proceedings. Participants can exit the meeting at any time by clicking the <em><strong>File<\/strong><\/em> option which will unveil a dropdown menu. Selecting <em><strong>Leave Meeting<\/strong><\/em> will allow a participant to leave, while a host choosing <em><strong>End Meeting<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0will end the meeting for everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We hope this guide is helpful to those who wish to utilize Webex for Mac.
