Skype is a telecommunications software that provides features such as video chat and audio\/video calls between a variety of devices. Here\u2019s a small tutorial on how to quickly download and setup Skype for Mac and enjoy your experience with calls and instant messages. <\/span><\/p>\n

1. Download the app <\/span><\/h2>\n

Go to <\/span>Skype<\/span><\/a> website, and click on the <\/span>Downloads<\/strong> <\/em>section.<\/span><\/p>\n

Next, click on Get <\/strong><\/em><\/span>Skype for Mac<\/strong><\/em> and choose<\/span> Skype for Mac<\/strong><\/em> in the drop down menu. <\/span><\/p>\n

After the application is downloaded, launch the installer. Once you do, you will encounter this popup screen:<\/span><\/p>\n

Drag and drop the <\/span>Skype<\/strong> <\/em>icon into the <\/span>Applications<\/strong> <\/em>to ensure that it works. You can do this right on the screen or separately from the menu on the left side.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Launch the app<\/h2>\n

Locate Skype in the Applications<\/strong> <\/em>folder or use Finder<\/strong> <\/em>to open Skype. Once the app is launched another popup window will show on the screen:<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Sign in<\/h2>\n

Create your Skype account or sign in using your Microsoft account (if you have any). To create a Skype account refer to the link below the bar labeled –\u00a0<\/span>No account? Create One!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Provide your phone number or email address in the necessary fields, put a strong password and proceed to filling in other details such as name\/surname. After registering, you will be directed to the Skype Home Screen<\/strong><\/em> as shown below.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
